Matinsa has begun work on the contract. ‘Maintenance and operation of roads and minor works related to these services in sector V-05. Province of Valencia’. 

The current sector V-05 is the result of the merger of the former sectors V-05 and V-08, valid until the end of 2025. Matinsa was awarded the maintenance contract for the former sector V-08 until 31 December 2025.

In total, there are 184 kilometres to be maintained. The contract includes the personnel, materials and equipment necessary to ensure safe traffic flow on the roads and the maintenance of the infrastructure, as well as the minor works specified in the specifications.

There are two maintenance centres from which the contract will be managed, located at the AP-7 junctions of Algemesí and Xeresa.

The sector includes a tunnel on the AP-7 motorway, the Xeresa tunnel, as well as two small tunnels on the Gandía bypass of the N-332. There are several unique structures, over the Júcar River and its floodplain, over the Serpis River and at kilometre points 546+000 and 547+000 of the AP-7.

The contract has a planned duration of three years and may be extended for a further two years. This award confirms Matinsa's establishment in eastern Spain.
