Matinsa obtains the extension of the conservation and operation contract for the EX-A1 Highway of the Junta de Extremadura
The Joint Venture Conservation EX – A1 (constituted at 50% by FCC Construcción, delegating the management to MATINSA), has signed for a period of 12 months with the Ministry of Mobility, Transportation and Housing of the Board of Extremadura, the extension of the contract of services for the execution of various conservation and operation operations of the autonomous highway EX-A1, section A-5 Moraleja Oeste and the regional roads EX-119, EX-118, EX-108; section A-5 - Moraleja EX-102; and section EX-118 - L.P. from Toledo and EX-387; Bohonal section of Ibor- L.P. Toledo; for an amount of 2.6 million euros.
Initially, the contract had an execution period of 24 months, and a price of 5.2 million euros. It has been extended by 12 months under extension of the contract, so the end of the current contract is now August 31, 2,020.
The scope of the contract amounts to an equivalent total length of 427,705 kilometers. This causes that the main characteristic of the sector is the dispersion of the sections.
The main works related to road maintenance management to be carried out on a daily basis are:
- Communications service.
- Surveillance and road service 24 h.
- Winter road service.
- Establishment of inventory and status reports.
- Exploitation management support.
Also, as needed, other works in the Maintenance and Improvements chapter will be carried out, such as asphalt firm operations, mainly milling and resurfacing, actions in the road environment such as mowing, clearance and cleaning, vertical signage operations, beaconing, as well as road markings painting.
