The need to bring cities closer together, for commercial or business reasons or to increase tourism, has driven the improvement of the existing airport infrastructure and the construction of new ones.

FCC Construcción has carried out numerous highly complex airport projects, such as the T-1 Passenger Terminal at Barcelona's El Prat Airport, the Palma de Mallorca terminal building and car park, the third runway in Barajas-Madrid, and the new Terminal Building T4 in Barajas -Madrid, work that received the International Award “Puente de Alcántara”.

At an international level, it built the control tower at the El Dorado airport in Colombia (considered the highest in Latin America), expanded the Riga airport and built the runways in Romania and Ireland.

The construction area of ​​the FCC Group has developed terminal buildings, towers and control centers, runways, parking lots and airport services. In total, it built more than 4.5 million square meters of airport runways and 2.2 million square meters of airport terminals.
